Failures of the West

So, the US has cloaked prisons on armybases in Poland. In EU territory. Its a shame not only for the tailwagging regime of Poland and Americas leadership but also for the western countries that so often brags about its fine justice system and democracy. Democracy for who? Not for the people that are being kidnapped on daily basis and in secret are being moved to unofficial prisons around the world. Its sad we dont hold the civil rights closer to our hearts than that.

Another shame is the norwegian attitude to people in other parts of the world. The norweigan journalist/author Åsne Seierstad went to Afghanistan during to american invation there. When she came back to Norway she wrote a book called "The bookdealer in Kabul". This book is about the bookdealer Shah Mohammad Rais who openheartedly welcomed Åsne into his house in Kabul. When the book was translated to his language he was treathened to his life and had to flee Afghanistan. Now Norway rejects him humanitarian asylum. Åsne should open her house for Shah Mohammad Rais and his family and help him to get norweigan asylum now when she has destroyed his life. Otherwise she has no honour left in my eyes.
